OSHA has granted a permanent variance to Commonwealth Dynamics, Inc., Mid-Atlantic Boiler & Chimney, Inc., and R and P Industrial Chimney Co., Inc., allowing them to use alternative conditions to regulate personnel hoists and boatswains' chairs, which are deemed to be at least as protective as the original requirements.
