FDA Publishes Draft Guidance for Automated Blood Cell Separator Devices

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has released a draft document outlining special controls for automated blood cell separator devices operating by centrifugal or filtration separation principle, which could lead to a reclassification of these devices from class III to class II.
