FDA Reopens Comment Period for Proposed Rule on Preventing Salmonella in Shell Eggs

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is extending the public comment period for its proposed rule on preventing Salmonella Enteritidis in shell eggs until June 9, 2005, to gather industry practices and programs that prevent the infection of SE-monitored chicks.
