FDA Releases Guidance on Safety Evaluation of Pharmaceutical Excipients

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has made available a new guidance document that provides industry with information on the types of toxicity data required to support the use of new excipients in pharmaceutical products, enabling drug sponsors to assess the safety of these excipients before their use in the market.
