U.S. Treasury Updates Privacy Act Regulations to Reflect Changes and New Laws

The U.S. Department of the Treasury is revising its regulations under the Privacy Act of 1974 to align with recent court decisions and changes in Treasury bureaus and offices, as well as requirements from the Social Security Number Fraud Prevention Act of 2017, adopting the July 25, 2022, proposed rule with minor adjustments.
