FDA Requests Public Comments on Guidance for Trans Fat Labeling Rule Extension Requests

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking public comments on a proposed guidance document related to the trans fat labeling rule, which requires food manufacturers to use existing label stock after January 1, 2006. The FDA is reviewing a request for emergency processing of a paperwork reduction act (PRA) to facilitate case-by-case extensions for firms seeking to use existing label stock.
