FDA Approves Tylosin for Honey Bees to Combat American Foulbrood Disease

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is updating its animal drug regulations to reflect the approval of a supplemental new animal drug application (NADA) submitted by Elanco Animal Health for the use of tylosin in honey bees to control American foulbrood disease. The approval allows for the use of tylosin soluble powder to treat this bacterial disease in honey bees.
