FDA Approves New Animal Drug for Swine Respiratory Disease

The FDA is amending its regulations to allow the veterinary prescription use of flunixin meglumine, a solution by intramuscular injection, to treat pyrexia in pigs with swine respiratory disease, following approval of a supplemental NADA filed by Schering-Plough Animal Health Corp.
