EPA Approves Alabama's Hazardous Air Pollutant Permit Program

The Environmental Protection Agency has granted the Alabama Department of Environmental Management authority to implement and enforce a permit program that substitutes for national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants at chemical recovery combustion sources at pulp mills, following a review of the state's request.
