EPA Withdraws Direct Final Rule Revising California State Implementation Plan

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is withdrawing its direct final approval of revisions to the California State Implementation Plan (SIP) due to a timely adverse comment. The revisions, which included rules on open outdoor fires and incinerator burning, were set to take effect on August 6, 2004.
