EPA Issues New NPDES General Permits for Wastewater Lagoon Systems in Indian Country
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 8 has issued five new National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) general permits for wastewater lagoon systems in Indian country across Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. These permits replace previous general permits issued in 1998 and cover specified Indian reservations, land held in trust by the US for Indian tribes, and other areas considered Indian country.
