EPA Approves Revised Air Quality Plan for Northern Virginia, Reduces NOx Emissions Threshold

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a revision to Virginia's State Implementation Plan, lowering the threshold for nitrogen oxide emissions from major stationary sources in the Northern Virginia Ozone Nonattainment Area from 50 tons per year to 25 tons per year, in accordance with the Clean Air Act.
