EPA Withdraws Proposed Rule on Background Checks for Contractors

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has withdrawn a proposed rule requiring contractors to perform background checks and suitability determinations for employees working on or within Federally-owned or leased space, following public comments objecting to the proposed clause's broad application and key substantive provisions.
