California Air Resources Board Requests EPA Confirmation on Amendments to Heavy-Duty Vehicle Regulations

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has received confirmation from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that amendments to California's heavy-duty diesel powered vehicles and engines regulations, including the 1998 NOX standards, are within-the-scope of a prior waiver of Federal preemption issued under the Clean Air Act.
