EPA Approves Weirton Area for Attainment of PM10 NAAQS Standards
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has determined that the City of Weirton in West Virginia has met the National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for particulate matter (PM10) and is therefore no longer considered a nonattainment area. The EPA is also approving a 10-year maintenance plan for the area, which will help maintain the clean air quality standards.
