EPA Delegates Authority to Navajo Nation Environmental Protection Agency for Clean Air Act Program

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted the Navajo Nation Environmental Protection Agency (NNEPA) full authority to administer the Clean Air Act's federal operating permits program, allowing NNEPA to issue and implement permits for air pollution sources within the Navajo Nation reservation and off-reservation Tribal Trust lands.
