EPA Approves Virginia's Air Quality Implementation Plan with Fee on VOC and NOx Emissions
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed to approve Virginia's State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision, which establishes a fee on major volatile organic compound (VOC) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) sources in the Virginia portion of the Metropolitan Washington D.C. Severe Ozone Nonattainment Area. The EPA anticipates no adverse comments and will not institute a second comment period.
