CMS Proposes Modifications to Medicare Hearings and Appeals System

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is proposing to modify the Medicare Hearings and Appeals System (MHAS) to broaden its scope and support additional levels of claim determination appeals. The proposed changes aim to improve the appeals process for Medicare beneficiaries, including those with Medicare Fee-for-Service (FFS) and Medicare Advantage plans.
