The National Park Service has extended the public comment period for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in California by two months, from August 5, 2004, to October 5, 2004, in response to 102(2)(C) of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969. This extension allows for further consideration of alternative approaches for future park management.
