National Park Service Announces Record of Decision for Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Wilderness Study

The National Park Service has made the record of decision for the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore wilderness study available, selecting 33,500 acres of the park's land base for permanent protection as wilderness, while excluding Basswood, Sand, and Long Islands from the designation.
