Notice on Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Oil and Gas Lease Sales

The US government has issued a notice restricting joint bidders for OCS oil and gas lease sales from November 1, 2004, to April 30, 2005. The restriction applies to entities within specific groups, as listed in the List of Restricted Joint Bidders published in the Federal Register on April 6, 2004. The list covered the period from May 1, 2004, to October 31, 2004. The restriction is based on the authority vested in the Director of the MMS by the joint bidding provisions of 30 CFR 256.41. The notice aims to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure fair competition during the bidding period.
