US Secretary of Interior Approves Massachusetts River Expansion to National Wild and Scenic Rivers System
The US Secretary of Interior has approved a Massachusetts Governor's request to expand the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System by adding 34.8 miles of the Westfield River and its tributaries, bringing the total to 78.1 miles, and allowing state and local authorities to administer the area without federal expense.
