Final Environmental Impact Statement Released for Lower Colorado River Conservation Program
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Bureau of Reclamation have published a final environmental impact statement for the Lower Colorado River Multi-Species Conservation Program, which aims to conserve federally listed and candidate species such as the southwestern willow flycatcher and Yuma clapper rail. The program's implementation is subject to a draft implementing agreement and funding and management agreement, following a 60-day public comment period that ended on August 18, 2004.
