MD Helicopters, Inc. Model MD900 Helicopters to Comply with New Airworthiness Directive

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive (AD) for MD Helicopters, Inc. Model MD900 helicopters, requiring the reduction of certain Notar fan system tension-torsion (TT) straps' life limit and specifying removal, inspection, and replacement procedures to prevent TT strap failures that can lead to loss of directional and control of the helicopter.
