FAA Issues Airworthiness Directive for Rolls-Royce Turboshaft Engines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has superseded an existing airworthiness directive for Rolls-Royce Corporation's models 250-C30R/3, -C30R/3M, -C47B, and -C47M turboshaft engines, requiring replacement of the existing hydromechanical unit with a new design and adding a mandatory terminating action to repetitive inspections to prevent uncommanded engine power changes.
