U.S. Maritime Administration Requests Comments on Administrative Waiver of Coastwise Trade Laws

The U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) is seeking public comments on a request for an administrative waiver of the U.S.-build requirement of the coastwise laws, which would allow a vessel to operate without meeting this requirement. Interested parties can submit comments on the proposed waiver, which can be found at the U.S. Department of Transportation's website (http://dms.dot.gov) and docket number DOT-2004-19773.
