FAA Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Boeing 777-200 and -300 Series Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is proposing a new airworthiness directive (AD) to replace halogen lamps in cargo compartment light assemblies with incandescent lamps and install warning and identification placards on Boeing Model 777-200 and -300 series airplanes to prevent a fire in the cargo compartment, following a report of an aft cargo fire during flight.
