US Department of State Certifies Countries for Sea Turtle Conservation

The US Department of State certified 14 countries for their efforts to reduce sea turtle bycatch in their shrimp fisheries, while also exempting Hong Kong and 24 other countries from the threat of incidental turtle taking, effective May 1, 2006.
