Renewal of Cultural Property Advisory Committee Charter
The U.S. Department of State's Cultural Property Advisory Committee (CPAC) Charter has been extended for two years, allowing it to continue reviewing requests for U.S. import restrictions on cultural artifacts at risk of being looted. The committee, established by the 1983 Convention on Cultural Property Implementation Act, comprises experts in archaeology, anthropology, and ethnology, as well as museum representatives and the general public.
