NMFS Initiates Status Review of Pacific Herring Species

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is initiating a status review of the Pacific herring species due to a petition that presents substantial scientific and commercial information indicating the species may be endangered. The review aims to ensure the use of the best available information to make an informed decision.
