Atlantic Coastal Fisheries Cooperative Management Act Provisions; Application for Exempted Fishing Permits (EFPs) - NMFS Proposes Issuance of EFPs for Lobster Monitoring Project

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has announced a proposal to issue Exempted Fishing Permits (EFPs) for a collaborative project to monitor the movement of female lobsters in two inshore and two offshore locations, allowing up to six commercial fishing vessels to participate, in accordance with the Atlantic Coastal Fisheries Cooperative Management Act.
