NMFS Proposes Exempted Fishing Permit for Northeastern US Fisheries

The Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries, Northeast Region, NMFS, has proposed recommending an Exempted Fishing Permit (EFP) that would allow one vessel to conduct restricted fishing operations in the Northeastern United States, potentially exempting it from certain regulations, including the multispecies rolling closure areas, minimum mesh size, and days-at-sea effort control program, for up to 16 days.
