NMFS Proposes Exempted Fishing Permit for Northeastern United States Fisheries

The Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries, Northeast Region, NMFS, has made a preliminary determination that an Exempted Fishing Permit application contains all required information and warrants further consideration. The permit would allow three vessels to conduct fishing operations that are otherwise restricted by regulations governing the fisheries of the Northeastern United States, with exemptions from closed area restrictions and minimum fish size requirements.
