NOAA Implements New Measures to Northeast Multispecies Fishery Management Plan

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is implementing new measures to the Northeast Multispecies Fishery Management Plan, allowing vessels to target healthier groundfish stocks and mitigate economic impacts. The changes, part of Framework Adjustment 40-A, include three new programs and relax restrictions on fishing in multiple areas.
