NMFS to Distribute Reduction Payments for Bering Sea Crab Fishing Capacity Reduction Program

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is issuing a notice to inform the public about the distribution of reduction payments to accepted bidders under the Bering Sea/Aleutian Islands King and Tanner Crab fishing capacity reduction program. The program, which aims to repay a $97.4 million loan, will utilize an industry fee system to cover 100% of the costs.
