Atlantic Highly Migratory Species; Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Quota Specifications, General Category Effort Controls, and Catch-and-Release Provision

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) proposes initial 2004 fishing year specifications for the Atlantic bluefin tuna fishery to set quotas and controls for commercial and recreational fishing, in line with the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) and the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (Magnuson-Stevens Act). Public hearings will be held to gather comments on the proposed actions.
