State of Utah Discontinues Nuclear Regulatory Authority, Transfers to State Control

The State of Utah has signed an amendment to its agreement with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, allowing the state to assume regulatory authority over byproduct material, effective August 16, 2004, and exempting Utah residents from certain Commission regulations.
