NRC to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for USEC American Centrifuge Plant

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has announced its intention to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed construction, operation, and decommissioning of the American Centrifuge Plant (ACP) gas centrifuge uranium enrichment facility in Piketon, Ohio, following a license application submitted by USEC Inc. (USEC) on August 23, 2004.
