NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 2006 Smart Cars
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has accepted a petition from a group of car owners to allow the importation of 2006 Smart Car Passion, Pulse, and Pure models manufactured before September 1, 2006, as they meet safety standards.
