FinCEN Proposes Exemption for Beneficial Ownership Information System
The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is proposing to exempt a new system of records, the Beneficial Ownership Information System, from certain provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974, in order to increase the system's value for law enforcement and comply with the Corporate Transparency Act.
