FCC to Allow Electronic Filing for Cable TV and Relay Services

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is revising rules to enable electronic filing of forms by Multichannel Video Programming Distributors (MVPDs) through the Cable Operations And Licensing System (COALS), allowing for faster and more efficient submissions of various cable-related documents, including community registrations and CARS applications, starting six months after automation of the relevant forms is deemed reliable.
