FCC Extends Number Portability Implementation Schedule

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has extended the implementation deadlines for wireline carriers to implement number portability, with the modified rules becoming effective on May 15, 1997, and information collections subject to OMB approval becoming effective on September 12, 1997.
