FCC Seeks Comment on Enhanced TRS for Individuals with Hearing and Speech Disabilities

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is seeking public comment on proposed technological advancements for Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) that could improve access for individuals with hearing and speech disabilities during emergencies. The FCC is considering whether TRS facilities should be designated as National Security Emergency Preparedness (NS/EP) facilities, similar to local exchange carriers under the Telecommunications Service Priority (TSP) System.
