zuChem, Inc. Seeks FDA Approval for New Food Additive Production Method

zuChem, Inc. has submitted a petition to the FDA requesting changes to food additive regulations to allow the production of mannitol through microbial fermentation of sugars like fructose, glucose, or maltose, using Lactobacillus intermedius. The FDA is announcing this new proposal.
