FDA Reopens Comment Period for Trans Fatty Acids in Nutrition Labeling

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is reopening the comment period for 45 days to gather information and data on establishing new nutrient content claims about trans fatty acids, qualifying criteria for trans fat in current claims, and disclosure statements to help consumers make heart-healthy food choices.
