FDA Proposes Rule to Extend Sodium Labeling Requirement to Rectal Drug Products

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing a rule to require sodium labeling for over-the-counter (OTC) rectal drug products containing sodium phosphates, following reports of serious adverse events and deaths linked to high sodium levels in these products.
