FDA Amends Color Additive Regulations for Safe Use of D&C Black No. 2 in Cosmetics

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has updated its regulations to allow the safe use of D&C Black No. 2, a high-purity furnace black, in various cosmetics such as eyeliner, lipstick, and nail enamel, following a petition from the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association.
