FDA Proposes Changes to Environmental Impact Considerations for Humanitarian Device Exemptions and Special Controls

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing to expand categorical exclusions for humanitarian device exemptions (HDEs) and special controls, which would exempt certain actions from environmental assessments and impact statements, in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
