US Coast Guard Temporarily Deviates from Galveston Causeway Bridge Regulations for Repairs

The US Coast Guard has temporarily allowed the Galveston Causeway Railroad Bascule Bridge to remain closed to navigation for eight hours on May 25, 2004, to repair and replace joints on the bridge's bearing plates.
