CBP Makes Draft PEA for VACIS System Available for Public Review

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has released a draft Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) for the Vehicle and Cargo Inspection System (VACIS), which will be used at various US and Puerto Rico ports of entry to inspect vehicles and cargo non-intrusively using gamma rays, and invites the public to review and comment on the document before a final PEA is issued.
